Brokers have complete control over their own learning process

Just two months since Camargue captivated the insurance industry with the launch of its Directors’ and Officers’ liability eLearning platform - it has announced the addition of a Commercial Crime Liability module to the offering.

The content and assessments of the Commercial Crime module have been approved by the Insurance Institute of South Africa for three CPD hours.

As with all LAB training presented at Camargue House, at brokerages, and on national roadshows – Camargue’s eLearning is fully sponsored by Camargue.

The first course on offer, Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, has been well received with a launch sign on of almost 300 brokers.

Of these 15 have already completed the course – all within their own time – with an average pass rate of 86% being achieved.

Camargue Managing Director, Mitch Marescia says that the appeal of the eLearning offered by the Group’s eLab, is brokers can securely access the content anywhere, anytime and on any device.

“Our reach has considerably expanded geographically and we are sharing the power of knowledge across the width and breadth of Southern Africa,” he adds.

When gauging broker sentiment towards the training - there was resounding acknowledgement for the value of the course, with 100% of the surveys confirming that the material is robust and relevant and injected with fun.

Human Resources and Skills Development teams within large Broker groups are adding Camargue’s eLearning into their annual training schedules and bulk registrations cater for management of this in-house – all in close consultation with Camargue.

“We are very pleased with the market’s response to the eLearning opportunity we have provided and we are confident the Commercial Crime Liability module will be as well received as the Directors’ and Officers’ liability module has been,” says Mari Williams, Head of the Liability Academy for Brokers.

As with the Directors’ and Officers’ Liability module, brokers have complete control over their own learning process, as each user is given their own user name and password.

They are able to log out of a training session at any time, and resume at their own convenience.

The programme is not intended as a substitute for existing training initiatives offered by Camargue, such as that offered by the Camargue LAB.

Instead, the aim is to provide an additional avenue for learning which will be of particular benefit to brokers in more remote areas and IISA members currently based all over the world who wish to participate in the Continuous Professional development framework.

The five CPD hours for Directors’ and Officers’ eLearning and the three CPD hours for Commercial Crime Liability eLearning are in addition to those obtained at Camargue workshops in the past.

To register brokers should visit www.camargueum.co.za and click on the Training tab. Online and telephonic support is available to ensure ease of navigation.

Camargue is an underwriter of niche insurance products and a provider of risk management solutions to a broad spectrum of industries in Southern Africa. Camargue’s unique M3 approach focuses on managing, mitigating and migrating critical business risks.
